Bin Collections
Bins are emptied on Tuesdays and there is a Council glass recycling bin in the Hall car park. Bin days for recycling and general waste can be found on the Dumfries and Galloway Council website.

Defibrillator
The village has two Public Access Defibrillators, one the wall of Kirkgunzeon Primary School and one on the wall of Maxwell Memorial Hall. Both are maintained by Dalbeattie Community First Responders.

Bus Service
The main bus service through the village is the 501 Dumfries to Castle Doulas Service via Dalbeattie. It is operated via Stagecoach and the timetable can be found on Stagecoach website here.
Postal Service
The Post Box is located near the main bus stop, next to the gate of the Manse. Collection times are Mon-Fri 9am and on Saturday 7am
Local shops and food deliveries
The nearest local shops, post office, petrol station and pharmacy can be found on the High Street in Dalbeattie. There is also a well stocked farm shop and café at Loch Arthur in Beeswing. More information on services in Dalbeattie is available from www.dalbeattiematters.net
Many local shops will arrange deliveries to Kirkgunzeon and Meric Fish Van visits on Thursday mornings weekly (Tel: 07377 125611 )
Solway Free Range Eggs available from the ‘egg shack’ located outside Congeith Farm
Maxwell Memorial Hall and village green is a community facility that offers community events and activities and is available to hire.
